Upcoming Severe Weather Threats

Since our severe weather forecast in specifically for Michigan it allows us to be extremely accurate. Below is a table explaining the risk level of each color. If you have any questions about a severe threat for a specific day we would be happy to answer it. Just start a live chat below.
Instability around 2000-3000 combined with strong mainly unidirectional wind parrelell to a strong cold front will support an intense line of thunderstorms. There will also be some low level shear in and around the Detroit area which will support a threat of an isolated tornado or two, however the threat is low.

Note: "Tornado Risk" is the chance that one or more tornadoes will touch down in the specified area.
Some discrete cells (possibly supercells) will travel through sufficient instability and medium-high low level shear around 3 AM allowing for a tornado threat, these discrete cells could also be followed by a weakening squall line a bit later in the morning.

Note: "Tornado Risk" is the chance that one or more tornadoes will touch down in the specified area.
Very high instability coupled with moderate wind shear is likely to produce severe thunderstorms capable of very large hail, strong winds, and maybe a few tornadoes some possibly intense.

Note: "Tornado Risk" is the chance that one or more tornadoes will touch down in the specified area.
